EU Regulation
The Batteries Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 is the main piece of legislation governing the batteries placed in the European Union. This Regulation replaces the Batteries Directive 2006/66/EC. Currently, the secondary legislation is being drafted. EPBA is available to share industry knowledge and advise on the feasibility of the different policy options under discussion with impact in the portable batteries segment.
